Scale Model Kit

The Revell Vought F4U-4 Corsair is a Level 4 plastic model kit produced in 1/48 scale. It contains 75 detailed parts moulded in light grey and requires paint and cement for assembly. The kit is aimed at adult hobbyists and collectors who enjoy building detailed military aircraft replicas from the Korean War era.

Build Requirements

Assembly demands modelling cement and paint, which are not supplied in the box. The kit provides folding wings and retracting landing gear with doors, plus optional armament including three drop tanks, two 1000 pound bombs and eight under-wing rockets. Decals cover VMF-214 Black Sheep squadron from USS Sicily 1951 and VMA-332 from USS Bairoko 1953.

Finished Model

Once completed the model measures approximately 10.5 inches in width and 8 inches in length. The officially licensed packaging is vintage in style and the box is brand new and unopened. Builders seeking a snap-together kit or a pre-painted display piece will not find that here.
