RF IDEAS PCPROX HID Black USB Reader

The RF IDEAS PCPROX HID Black USB Reader is a proximity identification device designed for desktop environments. It connects via USB and reads credentials at a 3 inch operating range. The compact black housing measures 3.4 inches in height, 2 inches in width and .6 inches in depth. It suits organisations needing simple badge or card access control.

Sustained read performance

The reader maintains consistent proximity detection during continuous daily use at reception desks or secure entry points. Its fixed 3 inch range provides reliable credential capture without requiring precise alignment. The desktop form factor stays stationary on a workstation, avoiding the signal variance common with handheld units moved between users.

Thermal noise and power profile

The unit draws power directly from the USB bus, eliminating the need for an external supply. With no moving parts, it operates silently in quiet office settings. The RoHS compliant construction meets environmental standards while the lightweight 4 ounce build produces negligible heat during extended operation.
