Directional Yagi Antenna Kit

This 12 dBi directional Yagi antenna kit is built for the Verizon Jetpack MiFi 8800L mobile hotspot. It targets users who need stronger LTE reception in rural or fringe coverage areas where the internal antennas cannot maintain a reliable link. The kit supplies every component required to boost a single antenna port.

Single-Port Upgrade Path

The package includes the Yagi antenna, a lightning protection device, a 20 ft 400-series low loss coaxial cable, a dedicated pigtail for the 8800L, and all mating connectors with minimal signal attenuation. Ordering two kits upgrades both LTE antenna ports for full diversity gain.

Cable Loss and Frequency Limits

The 400-series cable shows insertion loss below .8 dB at 698 MHz and below 1.7 dB at 2700 MHz across the 698 to 2700 MHz operating band. This loss profile defines the practical cable length limit for this kit; longer runs would increase attenuation beyond the specified thresholds.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is included for the 12 dBi directional Yagi antenna?

The kit supplies the antenna, a lightning protection device, a jumper cable, 20 ft of 400-series coaxial cable, and a pigtail for the Jetpack MiFi 8800L. Mounting brackets or a mast are not included.

How do I connect the pigtail to the MiFi 8800L antenna port?

Open the external antenna cover on the MiFi 8800L, plug the PIG8800L pigtail firmly into the port, then attach the 20 ft coaxial cable and route it to the outdoor Yagi antenna.

Which parts may need replacement after prolonged outdoor exposure?

The lightning protection device (V-LP-N-P-BHJ) and the 400-series coaxial cable are the components most exposed to weather and lightning events and may require replacement over time.
