Product Identity

The Rfwel Infra RFWP10-MR5100-050 is a high-gain directional panel antenna kit built for the Netgear Nighthawk M5 MR5100 5G mobile router. It targets users who need stronger signal capture at a fixed outdoor location such as a rural home, a remote office or a vehicle-mounted base station. The kit bundles the antenna, a 50 ft low-loss 400-series cable, a TS9 pigtail, mounting hardware and an optional lightning protector so the installer can complete the job without sourcing extra parts.

Upgrade Path

This kit replaces the router’s internal antennas or a basic omnidirectional whip when the signal is too weak or too noisy for reliable throughput. The jump is worth it when the router sits behind thick walls, in a low-coverage fringe area or inside a metal enclosure that blocks RF. Ordering two kits lets you feed both LTE ports for full MIMO operation, while a single kit boosts only one port. Buyers who need a shorter cable run or an indoor-only solution should look elsewhere.

Sustained Operation

The 400-series cable keeps attenuation low over the full 50 ft length, so the gain advantage holds during long data sessions rather than fading after a short burst. The directional panel focuses energy toward the tower, reducing multipath interference that can degrade throughput over time. The included lightning protection device and jumper help the installation survive repeated storm exposure without incremental signal loss. The white finish and supplied mounting kit let the antenna stay aligned season after season.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware comes with the 12 x 8 x 5 inch panel antenna?

The kit includes a mounting kit with all required hardware to secure the directional panel antenna outdoors.

How do I connect the 50 ft 400-series cable to the MR5100 Nighthawk M5 5G router, and what step is often missed?

Use the included low-loss pigtail with TS9 adapters to link the cable to the router's antenna ports; the step often missed is attaching the optional lightning protection device and jumper cable in-line before the router.

Which components in this kit may need replacement after extended outdoor exposure?

The 400-series coaxial cable, pigtail, lightning protection device, and jumper cable are the parts most likely to require replacement after long-term weather exposure.
