Binocular Harness with Shock Cord System

The Rick Young Outdoors harness uses a patented shock-cord design that spreads the weight of binoculars across the shoulders and chest. It replaces traditional straps that dig or sag, keeping optics at a consistent height during long periods of glassing. The single adjustment point allows quick tightening over different clothing layers. It fits most adults and can be trimmed for smaller torsos.

Check Binocular Attachment Points

Verify that your binoculars, camera, rangefinder or GPS unit have suitable lugs or loops for the included rubber straps and split rings. The harness attaches via these rings, so the device must accept them securely. Confirm the split-ring size matches the attachment eyes on your gear before heading into the field. No tools are required for installation.

Shock Cord Durability and Silent Operation

The harness is made from high-quality shock cord manufactured in the USA, designed to retain elastic memory and strength after years of rugged use. Rubber straps eliminate metal-on-metal noise while the cord stays taut to prevent flutter. The entire system stores tangle-free by wrapping around the binoculars when not in use, keeping packs organised and gear ready for quick deployment.
