Purpose-built for high-volume digitisation

The Ricoh ScanSnap iX2400 is a sheet-fed document scanner designed for offices that process large batches of mixed paperwork daily. Its 100-page automatic document feeder handles standard documents, business cards, photos and long receipts using the supplied receipt guide. A manual feed mode adds support for envelopes, plastic cards, folded A3 sheets and pages with sticky notes without jamming the main path.

USB-C simplicity for any workstation

Connectivity relies on a single USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C cable that is backward compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 ports, so the scanner fits into virtually any existing PC or laptop without extra adapters. The compact footprint of 6.26 by 11.5 by 6.34 inches and a weight of 7.1 lbs leave ample desk space and make relocation between workstations straightforward. No proprietary dock or separate power brick beyond the included AC adapter is required.

Software bundle turns scans into ready-to-use files

ScanSnap Home software and the Windows OCR pack are included, delivering searchable PDFs, JPEGs and editable Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint output directly from the scan job. Intelligent photo features such as auto-facial orientation and red-eye reduction process 4 by 6 inch prints in under a second. Online update ensures the application stays current without manual intervention.

Questions about this item

How many pages can the 100-page ADF scan continuously at the rated 45 ppm before a cool-down is needed?

The scanner feeds up to 100 sheets in one batch at 45 pages per minute, so a full load finishes in roughly two minutes.

What is the power draw of the scanner when it runs all day over USB 3.2 Type-C?

The included AC adapter powers the unit; the USB 3.2 Type-C cable carries data only, so the host port does not supply operating power.

Which operating system must the host computer already run to use the bundled ScanSnap Home OCR Pack?

The OCR Pack is provided for Windows; the main ScanSnap Home software also supports macOS, so either platform works for basic scanning.
