A compact 2-in-1 tubing cutter with ratcheting action for copper, brass and aluminium in tight spaces, supplied with a spare cutter wheel
The Ridgid 32573 is a 2-in-1 close-quarters tubing cutter designed for copper, brass and aluminum pipe. Its autofeed ratcheting mechanism allows clean cuts in confined spaces where a full swing is impossible. The compact 8 in length and aluminium body keep the tool light and manoeuvrable for overhead or in-wall work. A spare E-3469 cutter wheel is included in the package.
Combining a regular wheel cutter with a close-quarters design eliminates the need to carry two tools on service calls. The upgrade is worth it when jobs frequently involve tight clearances behind fixtures or inside cabinets. Ratcheting action reduces wrist strain on repetitive cuts compared with a traditional manual wheel. The knob handle provides secure grip even with wet or gloved hands.
Verify that the pipe outer diameter falls between 1/4 in and 1 3/16 in, as the cutter cannot accommodate sizes outside this range. Confirm the piping is copper, brass or aluminum; the tool is not rated for steel or plastic. Ensure there is enough radial clearance around the pipe for the cutter head to rotate during the ratcheting cycle.

It cuts from 1/4 in up to 1 3/16 in outer diameter, covering copper, brass and aluminum tubing.
Position the wheel on the tube, tighten the knob until the wheel contacts the surface, then ratchet the handle back and forth; the autofeed advances the wheel each stroke — do not over-tighten the knob or the wheel will bind.
Replace the wheel when it no longer scores cleanly or requires excessive force; the package includes a spare E-3469 wheel for quick changeover.
