Precision 40 mm Audio

The RIG 300 PRO HX is a wired gaming headset built around 40 mm dynamic drivers that produce rich bass and accurate highs. A 3.5 mm jack provides universal connection to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, laptops and mobile devices. Weighing 230 grams, it targets players who want lightweight comfort for long sessions without wireless latency or battery management.

Upgrade From Basic Headsets

This model replaces entry-level headsets that lack spatial audio support or durable construction. The jump is worth it when you need Xbox Windows Sonic or PlayStation Tempest 3D Audio for positional cues in competitive titles. Buyers who require wireless freedom or active noise cancellation should look elsewhere, as this headset uses passive sound isolation and a fixed 1.2 m cable.

Snap-Fit Assembly

Installation is plug-and-play: insert the 3.5 mm connector and adjust the Snap-Fit headband for small, medium or large sizes. The flip-to-stow microphone mutes automatically when raised, and in-line controls include a volume max-lock position. The most common issue is cable snagging during intense movement, while the detachable earcups are designed to separate under force to prevent headband breakage.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5 mm jack plug straight into a PS5 DualSense controller?

Yes, the 1.2 m cable ends in a 3.5 mm plug that fits the DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, Switch and any mobile or laptop jack.

How do I mute the microphone quickly while playing?

Flip the boom up until it clicks — the mic mutes automatically — or use the in-line slider which has a max-lock position for volume.

Can the oval ear cushions be replaced when they wear out?

The earcups detach from the headband under force; compatible oval cushions can be swapped without tools.
