Green printed circuit board with two M.2 slots and a PCIe x16 edge connector

RIITOP

RIITOP Dual M.2 NVME PCIe 4.0 X16 Expansion Card

SKU CH-XR2Y-V5TZZ

Adds two M.2 NVME SSDs via a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, requiring motherboard bifurcation for dual-drive operation

  • Product typeNVME to PCIe 4.0
  • Add two NVMe drives at once with dual M.2 slots
  • Full 32 Gbps bandwidth on each slot via PCIe 4.0 x16
  • Requires motherboard PCIe bifurcation for both drives to appear
  • Thickened PCIe x8 contacts for stable signal integrity
  • Plug-and-play install boosts design and video workloads

Dual M.2 NVME PCIe 4.0 Adapter

This RIITOP expansion card adds two M‑Key NVME SSDs to a single PCIe x16 slot. It targets desktop builders who need high‑speed storage for design, video editing or fast game loading without occupying multiple motherboard M.2 sockets.

PCIe Bifurcation Requirement

Your motherboard and CPU must support PCIe bifurcation set to x4x4 or x4x4x4x4 mode; otherwise only one SSD will be detected. Verify the BIOS/UEFI option exists before ordering, as the card cannot split lanes on its own and is incompatible with Mac Pro 5.1.

Gold‑Plated PCIe x8 Fingers

The board uses thickened, gold‑plated PCIe x8 contacts for stable signalling at up to 32 Gbps per drive. Two onboard M‑Key slots accept standard NVME modules, enabling simultaneous access and software RAID under Windows or Linux.

Questions about this item

What comes with the RIITOP Dual M.2 NVME PCIe 4.0 X16 Expansion Card and what must I buy separately?

The expansion card itself is included. You must purchase two M.2 M-Key NVME SSDs separately to populate the two slots.

How do I decide which version or capacity of M.2 SSD to install in this adapter?

Choose any M-Key NVME SSD; the card provides two x4 PCIe 4.0 lanes per slot, so each drive runs at up to 32 Gbps regardless of capacity.

What does the 32 Gbps per slot figure mean once the card is installed in my PC?

Each M.2 slot delivers a full PCIe 4.0 x4 link at 32 Gbps, giving each NVME SSD its maximum native bandwidth when your motherboard and CPU support PCIe bifurcation.
