Adds a front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-E header and a 19-pin USB 3.0 header via a PCIe x1 slot, sharing 5 Gbps bandwidth
The RIITOP PCIe add-in card adds one internal USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-E header and one 19-pin USB 3.0 header to a desktop motherboard. It targets builders whose case front panel includes a USB-C port or extra USB-A ports but whose board lacks the matching headers. The card occupies a single PCIe x1 slot and works in any x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot from PCIe 3.0 or 4.0. It is not suitable for systems that only have legacy PCI slots or for small-form-factor builds that cannot accept a full-height bracket.
The onboard VIA VL805 controller is fitted with a metal heatsink to keep the chip running cooler during sustained file transfers. No active cooling is present, so the card adds no audible noise to the system. Power is drawn entirely from the PCIe slot; no external power connector is required. The two internal headers share a total bandwidth of 5 Gbit/s, so simultaneous use of both front-panel ports will split that throughput.
A full-height bracket secures the card in standard ATX or micro-ATX chassis, while the low-profile PCB keeps adjacent slots accessible. The 20-pin header (19 active pins plus one key) connects to a case front-panel module that provides two USB-A ports, and the Type-E (A-key) header connects to a single front-panel USB-C port. Both headers are wired to the same controller, so only one 5 Gbit/s upstream link serves both. The package includes the expansion card only; cables for the front-panel modules are not supplied.

Insert the card into any PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slot, secure the full-size bracket, then connect the 20-pin and Type-E headers to the front panel; the step often missed is plugging both internal cables so the Type-C and dual Type-A ports both work.
The VIA VL805 chipset has a built-in heatsink; keep the case airflow clear of dust so the heatsink stays effective — no other user-serviceable parts or scheduled replacements are required.
The two headers share a single 5 Gbit/s uplink, so combined throughput from the Type-C and dual Type-A ports cannot exceed that bandwidth during continuous use.
