USB4 40 Gbps cable with 240 W charging
This new USB4 cable delivers up to 40 Gbps data transfer and 240 W Power Delivery 3.1 charging through USB‑C to USB‑C connectors. It is built for users who need a single high‑bandwidth link between a laptop, monitor, eGPU or dock. The 3.3 ft length suits desktop setups where devices sit close together.
Bundled USB‑C to USB‑A adapter adds legacy port
The included adapter lets the cable plug into older USB‑A ports while keeping up to 10 Gbps speed when the 20 Gbps and 10 Gbps markings stay aligned on the same side. Misalignment drops the link to USB 2.0 480 Mbps. Video output is disabled whenever the adapter is used, so display connections require a direct USB‑C to USB‑C link.
E‑Marker chip enables negotiated 48 V / 5 A power
An integrated E‑Marker chipset handles 240 W PD 3.1 negotiation at 48 V / 5 A and remains backward compatible with 180 W and 140 W profiles. The cable supports 8K video and dual 4K at 60 Hz over Thunderbolt 3 or 4 hosts that implement DisplayPort Alt Mode. Devices without Alt Mode, such as the 2018 iPad Pro, cannot use the video function.

Questions about this item
Will the E-Marker chipset or the USB-C connectors wear out and need replacement after heavy daily charging at 240W?
The cable uses an E-Marker chipset rated for 240W PD 3.1 at 48V/5A and USB-C connectors built to the USB4 40Gbps specification; no user-serviceable parts are inside, so the whole cable would be replaced if damage occurs.
What is the first performance limit reached when running 40Gbps data transfers continuously through the 3.3ft length?
The 40Gbps theoretical ceiling is the first limit; sustained throughput will sit at or below that rate, and the 3.3ft length keeps signal loss well within the USB4 spec for Gen 3 operation.
Does the cable get hot or draw extra power when delivering 240W to a laptop all day?
The E-Marker chipset negotiates 48V/5A for 240W PD 3.1 charging; the cable itself draws negligible overhead and remains within normal operating temperature for a 3.3ft USB4 cable at that load.
