Whole-home security kit

The Ring Alarm Pro 8-piece kit combines a complete alarm system with a built-in eero Wi-Fi 6 router. It includes a Base Station, Keypad, four Contact Sensors, one Motion Detector, and a Range Extender. Designed for homeowners who want integrated security and networking in one package. Optional 24/7 professional monitoring is available with a Ring Protect Plan subscription.

Connectivity capacity and limits

The integrated eero Wi-Fi 6 router delivers wireless speeds up to 900 mbps and covers up to 1,500 sq. ft. of living space. It handles everyday streaming, browsing and smart-home traffic across multiple rooms. Larger homes or layouts with dense walls may need additional eero extenders to maintain consistent coverage throughout every area.

Upgrade path and when it matters

This kit replaces a standalone alarm panel and a separate wireless router with a single device. The jump is worthwhile when you want to consolidate hardware, simplify app management and add 24/7 Backup Internet for resilience during outages. Homes already served by a modern mesh system may not need the built-in routing features.

Questions about this item

Will the built-in eero Wi-Fi 6 router replace my existing router, or do I need to keep both?

The Alarm Pro Base Station includes a built-in eero Wi-Fi 6 router that can serve as your primary router, delivering speeds up to 900 mbps and covering up to 1,500 sq. ft. You can replace your old router or run it in bridge mode alongside existing equipment.

How do I confirm the 24/7 Backup Internet and the eero Wi-Fi 6 router are active after I finish setup?

Open the eero app to verify the Wi-Fi 6 network is broadcasting and check the Ring app for the Backup Internet status indicator; both apps show real-time connectivity and will alert you if the backup connection engages.

Which components are included in this 8-piece kit, and what must I buy separately to enable professional monitoring?

The box contains one Alarm Pro Base Station, one Keypad, four Contact Sensors, one Motion Detector, and one Alarm Range Extender. A Ring Protect Plan subscription is sold separately to activate 24/7 professional monitoring.
