Five-way RJ11 splitter for home or office phones

This adapter turns a single RJ11 wall jack into five female ports so multiple telephones, fax machines or DSL modems can share one line. It is built for standard 6P4C wiring and also accepts 6P2C plugs. The unit is new and sold individually.

Passive CAT3 wiring limits simultaneous active calls

The splitter uses unshielded CAT3 conductors and does not amplify or isolate signals. Only one device can transmit at a time; picking up a second handset while a call is in progress will bridge the audio. Long cable runs or multiple ringers may reduce ring voltage below the threshold needed for reliable alerting.

Compact plastic housing with straight-through pinout

The moulded body fits behind desks or skirting boards without blocking adjacent outlets. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion on humid office walls. Because all five ports are wired in parallel, any standard RJ11 or RJ12 patch cord plugs in without orientation issues, but the adapter cannot separate voice from broadband — a separate micro-filter is still required for ADSL service.

Questions about this item

How many devices can I connect with the 1-to-5 splitter?

The adapter provides one male RJ11 plug and five female RJ11 sockets, letting you connect up to five telephones, fax machines or ADSL modems to a single line.

What does the 6P4C specification mean for my wiring?

Each connector uses six positions with four active contacts, the standard wiring for analogue voice and ADSL signals in home or office installations.

Will the RJ11 interface limit my broadband speed?

The splitter is rated to CAT3, so it supports traditional ADSL frequencies but is not designed for higher-speed VDSL or fibre services.
