The Rockford Fosgate PPB1 is a wired remote bass control designed for select Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. It provides a Para-Punch Bass remote EQ function that lets the driver adjust low-frequency response from the front seat. The unit includes the knob, a dedicated 8-conductor non-flipped cable, a mounting clip and mounting screws. It is intended for system owners who want convenient bass-level management without replacing the head unit.

Variable 35-70Hz frequency and 0 to +18dB boost

The accessory adds a variable frequency centre point between 35 and 70 Hz and a continuously adjustable boost range from 0 dB to +18 dB. This allows the listener to tune the bass emphasis to suit different music genres or cabin acoustics on the fly. The included non-flipped cable is required; using a standard flipped RJ-45 telephone cable or the older 6-conductor cable will damage the amplifier and void its warranty. Installation uses the supplied clip and screws for a secure dash or console mount.

8-conductor non-flipped cable requirement

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 8-conductor non-flipped cable interface. Amplifiers built in 2003 or earlier use a 6-conductor non-flipped cable and are not compatible with this remote. Buyers who need a remote for those older amplifiers cannot use the PPB1.
