Rockford Fosgate 100 A ANL Fuse

The Rockford Fosgate RFFA100 is a 100 A ANL fuse designed for automotive audio power circuits. It protects amplifiers and wiring from over-current damage. Installers working on high-output systems use this fuse at the battery connection. The platinum construction resists corrosion in engine-bay environments.

Capacity and headroom

Rated at 100 A, the fuse carries continuous current up to that level before opening. It handles the draw of large mono-block or multi-channel amplifiers with headroom for musical peaks. The fuse runs out when sustained current exceeds the rating, interrupting the circuit to prevent wire melting or component failure. Weight is 1.10.

Upgrade context

This fuse replaces a blown ANL fuse of the same rating or upgrades from a lower-amperage ANL fuse when amplifier power is increased. The jump is worth it when the new amplifier's current draw approaches or exceeds the old fuse rating. First listed by the manufacturer in 2021, it fits standard ANL fuse holders already present in many installations.
