  • Achieve 7680x4320 resolution on a single 8K output
  • Run dual 4K displays at 60Hz for smooth workflows
  • Operate triple monitors at mixed 4K/60Hz and 4K/30Hz via MST
  • Enjoy HDR colour depth with HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 compliance

Triple DisplayPort expansion

The Rocstor Y10A303-B1 converts a single USB-C port with DP 1.4 Alt Mode into three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. It targets professionals and enthusiasts who need to drive multiple monitors from a laptop or compact desktop without a discrete multi-output graphics card. Compatibility extends to Windows and MacOS devices that support the required Alt Mode. Buyers whose USB-C ports lack video Alt Mode cannot use this adapter.

Plug-and-play MST setup

Installation is driverless on supported hosts: connect the male USB-C plug and attach up to three DisplayPort cables to the female ports. Multi-Stream Transport handles the stream splitting automatically. The most common issue arises when the host USB-C port does not implement DP Alt Mode, resulting in no video signal despite a correct physical connection. Bandwidth limits also restrict the maximum refresh rate when all three outputs are active simultaneously.

8K single or triple 4K headroom

The 32.4 Gbps link enables one 7680 x 4320 display, dual 4K at 60 Hz, or a triple configuration of one 4K 60 Hz plus two 4K 30 Hz streams. DSC compression and HDCP 2.2/1.4 support preserve HDR quality within that bandwidth envelope. Pushing three high-refresh 4K signals exceeds the available throughput, so users needing triple 60 Hz must reduce resolution or accept 30 Hz on two outputs.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the adapter is delivering the full 7680 x 4320 resolution on a single display?

Check your OS display settings; the adapter reports a single 8K DP 1.4 stream when bandwidth allows.

What cables are included and which must be purchased separately?

The adapter has one USB-C male plug and three DisplayPort 1.4 female ports; you supply the DisplayPort cables.

Which display mode matches a triple-monitor setup with one 4K 60 Hz and two 4K 30 Hz screens?

MST mode on the adapter supports exactly that configuration simultaneously.
