Mechanical Butterfly Kit

The ROKR Mechanical Species Butterfly MI05B is a stem toy designed for builders aged 14 years and older. It arrives as a single-piece plastic model in a blue finish that mimics a natural butterfly shape. The kit serves as a display-focused project for hobbyists who enjoy hands-on assembly and decorative mechanical art.

Touch-Activated Motion Limits

The model includes a miniature motor that drives wing flapping when the butterfly is placed on its base and switched on. Touch interaction triggers the movement and causes the antennae to light up with a breathing effect. Operation requires three AAA batteries which are not included in the package due to shipping restrictions.

Battery-Dependent Functionality

Three pieces of 1.5V AAA LR03 AM4 cells must be supplied by the buyer before the motor and lighting features will work. Without these batteries the butterfly remains a static display piece rather than an interactive model. The power requirement is the single factor that determines whether the kit performs as demonstrated.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the MI05B blue version or the MI05P pink version?

The MI05B comes in a starry blue hue with champagne patterns and a sparkling gem, while the MI05P offers a warm rose pink finish; both share the same mechanical wing-flapping and lighting features.

What does the 9-inch height mean once the butterfly is assembled and placed on its base?

The assembled model stands 9 inches tall on its base, making it a substantial display piece where the motor-driven wings can flap and the antennae lights pulse when touched.

What does the AAA battery requirement cap in practice for the motor and lights?

Three AAA 1.5V batteries power the miniature motor that drives the wing movement and the subtle LED lighting in the rose and antennae; without them the interactive features will not function.
