Portable thermal receipt printer

The Rongta F81 is a compact thermal printer designed for mobile use with Bluetooth connectivity. It supports printing from Android, iOS and laptop devices via the dedicated app or USB cable. The inkless design uses thermal paper to produce monochrome output for receipts, forms and documents. It suits professionals and students who need a lightweight printer for travel or flexible workspaces.

Quiet operation under 60 dB

The printer operates with noise levels below 60 dB, making it suitable for libraries, meeting rooms and home offices. Thermal technology eliminates the need for ink or toner cartridges, reducing ongoing consumable costs. Power is drawn through the USB connection when used with a laptop, while the internal battery supports wireless printing sessions. The small footprint allows it to sit on any desk or counter without crowding.

Sustained printing at 3.5 pages per minute

The device maintains a print speed of 3.5 pages per minute at 203 dpi resolution for continuous tasks. Thermal media up to 8.5 inches wide feeds through the integrated cutter for clean separation. The 465 g weight and compact dimensions keep it portable during extended use away from a power outlet. Long print runs are limited by paper roll capacity and battery life rather than thermal throttling.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Rongta F81 on an Android phone using Bluetooth?

Download the RONGTA app from Google Play, open it, select the F81 model and pair via Bluetooth inside the app; the printer then appears as a print destination.

What consumable will I need to replace and how is it loaded?

The printer uses 8.5-inch thermal paper rolls; open the cover, drop in a roll with the paper feeding from the bottom, pull a short length out and close the cover.

What limits continuous printing on the F81?

The 203 dpi thermal head prints at 3.5 pages per minute and the unit stays under 60 dB, so heat buildup in the print head is the first limit during long runs.
