Royal Black Racing Trac 225/50ZR17 98W XL

The Royal Black Racing Trac is a high performance all season tyre for passenger cars. It fits a 17 inch rim and carries a load index of 98 with an XL load range. The section width is 225 mm and the overall diameter is 25.9 inches. It is sold as a tyre only without a rim.

Speed rating W and UTQG 420AA limits

The W speed rating permits sustained driving up to 168 mph. The UTQG traction grade A and temperature grade A indicate strong wet grip and heat resistance. The treadwear rating of 420 suggests moderate mileage potential. These figures define the performance envelope for spirited daily driving.

XL construction and black sidewall practicality

The XL reinforced construction supports heavier loads than a standard load tyre. The black sidewall offers a clean appearance that matches most wheel finishes. Tread depth of 7/32 inch is typical for a new performance tyre. Buyers needing a run flat option or a dedicated winter compound should look elsewhere.
