Touring All-Season Tire for Passenger Vehicles

The Royal Black Touring HP is a touring all-season tire built for passenger cars, family sedans, SUVs and CUVs. It comes in size 205/70R16 with a 97 load index and H speed rating for sustained speeds up to 130 mph. The tire carries a UTQG 560AA grade and an XL load range for extra capacity.

Drivers Wanting Year-Round Touring Comfort

This tire suits drivers who need reliable all-season traction and long treadwear on everyday roads. It is not for buyers who require dedicated winter grip, run-flat capability or a tire rated for higher load indexes. Off-road enthusiasts and performance-oriented drivers should look at a different category.

Verify Rim Size and Clearance Before Buying

Confirm your vehicle uses a 16-inch rim and that the 205 mm section width and 27.3 inch overall diameter fit your wheel wells. Check the load index 97 and speed rating H match the manufacturer placard. This purchase includes the tire only; the rim is not supplied.

Questions about this item

What wheel diameter must I already have for the 205/70R16 97H XL tire to fit?

The tire is built for a 16‑inch rim, so your wheels must be exactly 16 inches in diameter.

Can I run this 97H XL tire alongside older tyres with a lower load index on the same axle?

Mixing a 97‑load‑index XL tyre with lower‑rated tyres on the same axle is not recommended; it can unbalance load sharing and handling.

How do I confirm the tyre is performing correctly after fitting?

Check that the inflation pressure matches the vehicle placard, verify even tread wear across the 205 mm section, and ensure the speed‑rated H limit of 130 mph is not exceeded.
