Slim Jim Step-On Container 13 gal

The Rubbermaid 1883566 is a 13-gallon step-on waste container built for tight breakrooms, corridors and healthcare stations. Its slim footprint and front-step layout let it tuck against walls or desks without blocking traffic flow.

Front-step operation with internal hinge

The foot pedal sits at the front and drives a lid that closes quietly through an internal hinge, so the mechanism never contacts the wall. This design removes the clearance needed for rear-hinge models and keeps the container flush to vertical surfaces.

Liner retainer band and cinch included

A built-in band and cinch lock standard can liners in place, preventing slump and making bag changes faster. The moulded handles give a secure grip when lifting the container for emptying or repositioning.

Questions about this item

How much waste does the 13 gal capacity actually hold in a busy breakroom?

The 13 gal volume handles a full day of paper towels and packaging for a medium team before needing a liner change.

Does the front step pedal work smoothly on carpet or only hard floors?

The increased pedal clearance operates cleanly on both carpet and hard surfaces without sticking.

What floor space does the slim profile need to fit beside a counter?

The narrow footprint tucks against walls or between cabinets, and the internal hinge prevents wall contact when the lid opens.
