Utility cart for heavy loads

The Rubbermaid 440000 utility cart moves bulky items up to 250 lb on a 20.87 by 31.75 inch high-density polyethylene deck. Its non-skid surface keeps loads stable while four three-inch non-marking casters roll smoothly over hard floors. The black and grey frame folds flat for compact storage when not in use.

Who should choose this cart

Warehouse staff, office teams or homeowners who need a single cart for occasional heavy lifts will value the fold-flat design and rust-proof deck. Buyers who need a taller platform, side rails or a powered lift mechanism should look elsewhere because this model provides only a flat open deck.

250 lb capacity and fold-flat handle

The 250 lb maximum load capacity and the folding handle are the two specifications that determine whether this cart fits the task. If your typical load exceeds that weight or you require a fixed handle for continuous pushing, this unit will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What load does the 250 lb capacity actually support on the 20.87 x 31.75 in platform?

The structural foam deck is rated for 250 lb evenly distributed across the 20.87 by 31.75 inch surface.

How much clearance does the folded cart need when stored against a wall?

With the handle folded the unit lies flat; only the 3 inch caster height and deck thickness project from the wall.

Does the cart arrive assembled or must the four 3 in casters be fitted?

The cart ships fully assembled; the non-marking casters are already mounted so it rolls straight out of the box.
