Six-tier letter tray

The Rubbermaid 86028 is a side-loading letter tray designed for office document organisation. It is sold as a pack of six black plastic trays that stack vertically. Each tray holds A4-size documents and folders with a 5 lb. capacity. The unit suits anyone needing compact desktop or shelf filing.

Self-stacking installation

The trays are self-stacking so they align without tools, brackets or fasteners. Side-loading access lets users slide papers in from the front rather than lifting them over a rear lip. Because the trays simply sit on one another, the stack can become unstable if bumped heavily or loaded unevenly across tiers.

High-volume desktop filing

This six-tier set suits offices, classrooms or home workspaces that process large amounts of letter-size paperwork daily. It is less suitable for users who need lockable storage, fire-rated cabinets or trays that accommodate legal-size or oversized media. Buyers wanting a single tray or a different colour should look at other configurations.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Rubbermaid 86028 letter trays are working correctly after stacking them?

The six trays should self-align when stacked vertically; each tier accepts side-loaded A4 documents and folders up to the rated 5 lb capacity without bowing or jamming.

What comes in the box with the Rubbermaid 86028 six-tier pack and what must I buy separately?

The package contains six black plastic letter trays sold as a 6-pack; no additional hardware, risers or fasteners are included or required for stacking.

Which version of the Rubbermaid 86028 should I choose for letter-size filing?

The 86028 is a single model — six-tier, side-loading, black plastic — so there are no alternative capacities or colours to select for this product.
