Secure disposal for offices

The Rubbermaid 9W15LGY Slim Jim receptacle provides a 23 gal container for confidential documents. A side entry paper slot lets the unit sit under a desk while keeping contents out of sight. The rectangular Light Gray body fits tight spaces in busy work areas.

Slotted key locking lid

The included lid uses a slotted key lock to prevent unauthorised access to discarded papers. This locking mechanism secures the opening without extra hardware or software. The lid stays attached so the slot remains aligned for continuous use.

Under desk placement limits

At 11 wide, 20 deep and 31 high the unit must clear the desk return and any pedestal drawers. The side slot orientation fixes the approach angle so the receptacle cannot be turned to suit every layout. Buyers who need front feed or a larger capacity should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the slotted key locking lid need any maintenance to keep it working?

The lid uses a key lock and a paper slot; no lubrication or adjustment schedule is required by the manufacturer.

What stops me from filling the 23 gal container beyond its capacity?

The fixed 23 gal volume is the hard limit; once the rectangular body is full the slotted lid will not close.

Will the receptacle get hot or make noise if left under a desk all day?

It has no motor, fan or heater, so it produces no heat and no sound during continuous use.
