50-Gallon Square Roll-Out Waste Container

The Rubbermaid Brute 9W2700GRAY is a 50-gallon square waste container built for commercial refuse collection. Gray Dur-x construction and 8-inch wheels handle indoor and outdoor transport. An attached hinged lid locks open for loading and seals tight to contain odors and debris. Ergonomic handles allow comfortable push or pull operation over steps and curbs.

Suits High-Volume Collection, Not Tight Spaces

Facilities generating large daily waste streams benefit from the 50-gallon capacity and roll-out mobility. The square footprint and 36.2-inch depth need generous floor space and wide doorways. Sites with narrow aisles, low ceilings or limited maneuvering room should consider smaller or stationary receptacles instead.

50-Gallon Capacity Decides Fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 50-gallon volume. Match this figure to your facility's waste output between collections; if daily fill exceeds or falls far short of this mark, a different capacity will serve you better.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 36.2 by 23.4 inch footprint need?

The square container measures 36.2 inches deep by 23.4 inches wide, so allow at least that much clear floor area plus room for the hinged lid to swing back and lock open.

What is the correct way to engage the lid lock after swinging it back?

Swing the attached hinged lid fully rearward until the locking mechanism clicks into place; forcing it partially closed can misalign the lock and prevent a tight seal.

When should the 8 inch wheels be inspected or replaced?

Check the heavy-duty 8 inch wheels periodically for wear, flat spots or bearing noise, especially after frequent use over steps or curbs, and replace them if they no longer roll smoothly.
