Slim Jim 18 gal step-on container

The Rubbermaid Commercial 1883460 is a slim-profile waste receptacle designed for tight commercial spaces. Its front foot pedal enables hands-free operation in breakrooms, hallways or healthcare settings. The beige plastic construction resists dents and rust while fitting flush against walls.

18 gallon capacity and space efficiency

The 18 gal volume handles daily refuse in medium-traffic areas without frequent emptying. A 12 in. width and 19-1/2 in. depth allow placement in narrow corridors or between furniture. Height of 31-1/2 in. keeps the opening at a comfortable standing level for most users.

Foot-pedal operation and stationary placement

The internal hinge and front pedal mechanism keep the lid contained within the footprint, preventing wall damage. Smooth plastic surfaces simplify cleaning and reduce bacterial harbourage. As a free-standing unit it requires no mounting hardware, but it cannot be wheeled or stacked for transport.

Questions about this item

Will the 12 in wide Slim Jim 1883460 fit beside my existing 18 gal recycling bin?

The container measures 12 in wide and 19-1/2 in deep, so check the clearance next to your current bin before placing it.

How can I verify the front foot pedal operates smoothly after assembly?

Press the pedal several times; the internal hinge should lift the hinged lid fully and let it close quietly without binding.

Does the 1883460 ship with the hinged lid attached or do I need to order it separately?

The lid is included and hinged to the body, so nothing extra is required for basic operation.
