Slim Jim Swing Lid Function

This pack contains four gray swing lids built for Rubbermaid Slim Jim containers. They suit high-traffic areas such as restrooms, restaurants and snack bars where waste must be dropped quickly and kept out of sight. The counterbalanced mechanism pulls the lid shut after each use. Buyers who need lids for other container lines cannot use these.

Installation And Fit

Each lid sits on the container rim without tools or fasteners. The plastic construction is rust resistant and cleans with standard wiping. Alignment is critical; if the lid is seated crookedly the swing action will bind and the counterbalance will not return it fully closed.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The heavy-duty plastic resists cracking under repeated daily cycles. The counterbalance spring retains its return force over long periods, keeping odours contained and the opening clear. Gray colour masks surface scratches better than lighter shades in busy service zones.

Questions about this item

How do I know the swing lid is counterbalanced and closing by itself after I install it?

Push the lid open and release it; the counterbalanced design should swing it shut automatically without manual assistance.

What comes in the carton and do I need to buy the Slim Jim container separately?

The carton contains four gray plastic swing lids measuring 20.5" wide, 11.7" deep and 5" high; the compatible R3540 Slim Jim waste basket is sold separately.

Which lid version fits the Rubbermaid Commercial Slim Jim R3540 waste basket?

Model 267360GYCT is designed specifically for the Slim Jim R3540 container, so this gray four-pack is the correct version for that basket.
