Deskside 3.5 gal wastebasket

This rectangular plastic bin holds 3.5 gallons and is built for office or home desk areas. The all-plastic body resists chipping, rust and dents while rolled rims add structural strength. It sits cleanly on floors without marring surfaces and is simple to wipe clean.

Fits standard desk clearance

The low profile slides under a typical desk even when a swing-top lid (sold separately) is fully open. Buyers who need a larger capacity or a step-on mechanism should look at other models. Environments requiring metal construction or colour-coded recycling streams are not served by this single beige unit.

No lid or liner included

The package contains only the wastebasket itself; a matching swing top must be purchased separately if a cover is desired. There are no bundled liners, deodorisers or mounting hardware, so ongoing consumable choices remain entirely up to the user.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5 gal Rubbermaid 295500BG need a separate liner or bag to contain waste?

The wastebasket is a single plastic container with no built-in liner; standard 3.5-gallon trash bags fit the rolled rim and are purchased separately.

Will the swing top sold separately still clear a standard desk when fully open?

Yes, the supplier confirms the basket fits under standard desk height even with the optional swing top fully extended.

How can I verify the 295500BG is sitting correctly after placing it under my desk?

The basket should rest flat on the floor, the rolled rim should be level, and it should slide fully beneath the desk without contacting the underside.
