Ranger Fire-Safe Container

The Rubbermaid Commercial 8430-88BG is a 35 gal structural foam receptacle built for outdoor durability. It serves facilities that need a dependable side-opening unit for general waste collection in exposed conditions.

Permanently attached hinged lid

The hinged lid stays fixed to the body so it cannot be lost or separated during emptying. Metal retainers hold can liners firmly in place and keep them concealed from view.

Structural foam build for weather exposure

The foam construction resists cracking and fading through temperature swings and precipitation. Side-opening access and integrated liner retention simplify daily servicing for maintenance crews.

Questions about this item

Will the structural foam body or the permanently attached hinged lid need replacement after years of outdoor exposure?

The structural foam construction is designed to withstand extreme weather, and the permanently attached hinged lid stays fixed to the container, so neither component typically requires scheduled replacement.

What capacity limit will be reached first when the container is used continuously in a busy breakroom?

The 35 gal volume is the first limit reached; once the liner fills to that level the side opening must be emptied before more waste can be added.

Does the container generate any noise or heat when it sits outside all day in direct sun?

The unit has no mechanical parts, so it produces no noise or heat; the structural foam material simply absorbs and radiates ambient temperature.
