Horizontal Baby Changing Station

The Rubbermaid Commercial Horizontal Baby Changing Station is a wall-mounted unit built for commercial environments. It is constructed from high-density polypropylene that resists moisture absorption. The station meets global EN, FDA, ADA, and ASTM safety standards for public use.

Upgrade From Basic Fold-Down Units

This model replaces simple fold-down shelves by adding an integrated accessory shelf and easy-reach hooks. The jump is worth it when a facility needs to keep supplies organised and off the changing surface. The smooth polypropylene finish allows for faster cleaning between uses.

Suits High-Traffic Public Restrooms

Facilities requiring compliant, durable infant care stations will find this product fits the requirement. Buyers needing a compact vertical orientation or a recessed mounting style should look at other configurations. Venues without wall reinforcement for a 33-inch width should consider alternative placement.

Questions about this item

How much wall clearance does the 33 1/2" wide station need when folded?

The unit folds to a 4" depth, so allow at least that much clearance from the wall plus room for the release latch to operate.

What is the correct mounting height and hardware for the horizontal baby changing station?

Mount the frame to wall studs or solid blocking at the height required by ADA guidelines, using the supplied lag bolts and washers; the most common error is anchoring only into drywall.

How should the high-density polypropylene bed and accessory shelf be cleaned over time?

Wipe both surfaces with a mild detergent or approved disinfectant; the non-porous plastic resists moisture absorption and does not require special cleaners or periodic refinishing.
