Industrial Waste Receptacle

This Rubbermaid Commercial RCP 2543 GRA is a 7.00 gal. rectangular fiberglass basket built for general waste collection. The open-top design allows quick disposal in busy environments. Fiberglass construction resists chipping, denting and rust while rounded corners reduce snag hazards. It ships new and weighs 5.00 lbs.

Facilities Needing Fire-Resistant Containers

Suits hospitals, factories and offices that require a fire-resistant bin with no moving parts. Not for buyers who need a lid to contain odours, a step-on mechanism for hands-free use or a larger capacity than 7.00 gal. The fixed rectangular footprint also limits placement in tight curved spaces.

7.00 gal. Capacity Decides Fit

The single measure that determines suitability is the 7.00 gal. volume. If your waste stream exceeds this between collections, the basket will overflow. If the volume matches your cycle, the fiberglass body and 15.33" x 14.50" x 10.50" footprint deliver a durable, low-maintenance solution.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 7.00 gal. fiberglass wastebasket in a breakroom, and what step is often missed?

Place the 15.33" x 14.50" x 10.50" rectangular basket on a level floor; the step often missed is leaving clearance around the open top so the 5.00 lb. container will not tip when bumped.

What maintenance or replacement will the RCP 2543 GRA need over time?

Wipe the gray fiberglass interior with mild detergent; the material will not chip, dent or rust, so no liner or structural replacement is required under normal general-waste use.

What limit appears first when the 7.00 gal. basket is used continuously in a high-traffic area?

The 7.00 gal. capacity is reached before the fiberglass shows wear; once full the open-top rectangle must be emptied to continue collecting waste.
