Versatile Three-Shelf Service Cart

This Rubbermaid Commercial cart provides three fixed shelves for audio-visual equipment, filing supplies or food-service items. Each shelf has a quarter-inch lip on three sides and one flat edge for easy loading. Brushed aluminium uprights and dual moulded handles give a sturdy frame that suits office, classroom or hospitality environments.

Upgrade from Single-Tier Trolleys

Replacing a single-level trolley with this three-shelf unit triples the organised storage area without increasing the floor footprint. The 200 lb total capacity supports heavier loads such as stacked document boxes or catering trays. The jump is worthwhile when tasks require simultaneous access to multiple categories of supplies on separate levels.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Four 4-inch TPR swivel casters keep the cart rolling smoothly under continuous 200 lb loads across carpet, tile or hard floors. The structural web plastic shelves resist bowing during prolonged use, while the brushed aluminium uprights maintain rigidity without corrosion. Open ends allow long items to extend beyond the shelf depth when needed.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 18 5/8-inch wide by 33 5/8-inch deep cart occupy?

The cart footprint measures 18 5/8 inches wide by 33 5/8 inches deep, so allow at least that much clear floor area plus room for the swivel casters to turn.

Do the four 4-inch TPR swivel casters arrive attached or must they be fitted?

Casters typically ship loose and press into the brushed aluminum uprights; the step often missed is seating each stem fully until it clicks so the cart rolls straight.

When should the structural web plastic shelves or TPR casters be replaced?

Replace a shelf if the 1/4-inch lip cracks or the shelf bows under load, and swap casters when wheels develop flat spots or swivel action stiffens.
