35 gal Square Recycling Container

The Rubbermaid Commercial RCP 3958-73 BLU is a 35 gallon square recycling container made from crack-resistant plastic. It is coloured blue for easy waste-stream identification. The open-top design suits copy rooms and break areas where recyclable material is consolidated.

Crack-resistant plastic under load

The container uses crack-resistant plastic designed to withstand extreme temperatures without splitting. Its square shape provides stable stacking when units are lifted or carried full. The rigid walls maintain structure during sustained daily use in busy environments.

Open-top square format limits

The open top allows quick deposit but does not contain odours or prevent contamination from non-recyclable items. Square geometry fits flush against walls yet leaves unused corner space compared with round bins of equal volume. Stacking height is limited by ceiling clearance and safe lifting weight.

Questions about this item

Does the crack-resistant plastic of this 35-gallon container handle continuous indoor heat without warping?

The crack-resistant plastic is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, so it remains stable in typical break-room or copy-room conditions all day.

What separate items are needed before this open-top square bin can collect recycling?

Only a compatible recycling lid or signage kit is required; the container itself ships ready to use with no liners or hardware included.

Will the stackable design of this RCP 3958-73 model nest securely with older Rubbermaid square containers of the same capacity?

Yes, the uniform square footprint allows this 35-gallon unit to stack evenly with earlier same-size Rubbermaid square receptacles for lifting and carrying.
