Locking Cabinet Kit for Janitor Carts

The Rubbermaid Commercial RCP 6181 YEL adds a secure enclosure to compatible cleaning carts. Four blow-moulded polyethylene panels fasten to the frame and a keyed lock keeps cleaning chemicals out of reach. The yellow finish is smooth and easy to wipe clean.

For Cleaning Teams Needing Secure Storage

Janitorial staff who must restrict access to supplies on a 6173-series cart will find this kit fits the purpose. Operations that do not use the specified cart model, or that require a different colour or material, should look elsewhere.

Fits Rubbermaid 6173 Cleaning Cart Only

This cabinet kit is designed exclusively for the 6173 cart; the four panels and lock hardware align with that frame. Without the matching cart the kit cannot be installed and will not function.

Questions about this item

Which cleaning cart model must I already own to fit the RCP 6181 YEL locking cabinet kit?

The kit is designed for the Rubbermaid 6173 cleaning cart, so that cart must be in place before installation.

Will the cabinet panels and lock still secure supplies if the 6173 cart frame shows wear from daily use?

The four blow-moulded polyethylene panels bolt to the existing frame and the included lock engages independently, so normal cart wear does not affect security.

After attaching the four panels and turning the key, what confirms the cabinet is working as intended?

The door latches fully, the key turns smoothly to lock and unlock, and stored items remain contained when the cart is moved.
