Cigarette Receptacle 1 gal Black

The Rubbermaid FG257088BLA is a free-standing cigarette receptacle designed for outdoor break areas and building entrances. It provides a dedicated disposal point that keeps cigarette waste contained and out of sight. The unit suits facilities managers who need a tidy, self-contained solution for smoking areas.

One-gallon steel canister capacity

A galvanized steel inner canister holds large quantities of cigarette waste before servicing is required. The restricted opening shields contents from view, weather, and oxygen flow to reduce smouldering risk. Two openings sized at 11/16 in. accept standard cigarettes while limiting debris entry. The 1 gal volume handles typical daily traffic but will need frequent emptying in very high-use zones.

Powder-coated steel and resin construction

The black powder-coated steel base plate adds stability on pavement or concrete surfaces. A resin exterior resists fading and corrosion in exposed locations. Standing 39-1/2 in. tall with a 12-1/4 in. base diameter, the receptacle remains upright in wind without permanent mounting. The hygienic steel canister lifts out for quick emptying and cleaning.

Questions about this item

Will the 12-1/4 in. base diameter sit stably on our existing rubber floor mats?

The steel base plate adds stability on flat surfaces; the 12-1/4 in. diameter provides a wide footprint that resists tipping on commercial mats.

How can I confirm the restricted opening is limiting oxygen flow as designed?

Check that the 11/16 in. openings remain clear and that the lid seats fully; the shielded design reduces oxygen reaching the galvanized steel canister.

Does the unit ship with the galvanized inner canister and powder-coat outer shell assembled?

Yes, the receptacle arrives as one piece: plastic resin housing, galvanized steel inner canister, and powder-coated steel base plate are factory-assembled.
