Digital Platform Bench Scale 68kg Capacity

The Rubbermaid FG401088 is a new digital platform bench scale with a remote indicator designed for shipping and mailing operations. It supports a maximum capacity of 68kg or 150lb for weighing parcels and packages. The remote display allows the operator to read measurements without leaning over the platform. This scale suits mailrooms and dispatch areas needing a dedicated weighing station.

Suited for Parcel Weighing Not Precision Counting

This scale fits businesses that weigh outgoing parcels up to the rated limit and need a separate readout for convenience. It is not for users who require finer readability than the stated 0.2kg or 0.5lb increments for small items. Buyers needing legal-for-trade certification or higher resolution for lightweight goods should look at alternative instruments. The restricted status in Puerto Rico may also affect deployment plans.

Readability Increments Decide Suitability

The scale readability is specified as 0.2kg 2g 0.5lb which sets the smallest weight change the indicator will display. This single figure determines whether the resolution meets your process tolerance for shipping cost calculation or inventory tracking. Verify that this increment matches your operational requirement before purchase. The FG401088 model number identifies this exact configuration.

Questions about this item

What does the 0.2 kg readability mean for the 68 kg capacity?

The scale displays weight changes in 0.2 kg increments across the full 68 kg range, so the smallest step you will see is two hundred grams.

What are the physical requirements for placing the FG401088 platform on a bench?

The platform must sit on a flat, stable bench surface with the load centred on the weighing area; the remote indicator can be positioned separately for easy viewing.

How is the FG401088 scale installed, and what step is often missed?

Place the platform on the bench, connect the indicator cable, power on, then zero the display before weighing; skipping the zero step gives inaccurate readings.
