Utility Cart with 750 lb Capacity

The Rubbermaid FG454500BLA is a heavy-duty utility cart built for moving bulky loads across workshops, warehouses or job sites. Its structural foam construction resists dents and rust while supporting up to 750 lb across two shelves.

Practical Limits of the Caster Configuration

Two rigid and two swivel casters with 5 in thermoplastic rubber wheels provide manoeuvrability on smooth floors but offer no braking function. The cart cannot be locked in place on inclines, so it is unsuitable for sloped surfaces where uncontrolled rolling is a hazard.

Load Capacity Determines Suitability

The 750 lb rated capacity is the single figure that decides whether this cart matches the task. Loads exceeding that limit risk structural failure and caster damage, while lighter occasional use may not justify the cart's 54 in footprint.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 750 lb model or a lighter one?

Choose the 750 lb capacity when you regularly move bulk soil, bagged concrete or heavy equipment; a lower-rated cart would flex or tip under those loads.

What does the 750 lb capacity mean when the cart is fully loaded on uneven ground?

The 750 lb rating is the maximum evenly distributed weight the structural foam shelves can support; on slopes or rough terrain keep the load centred and well below that limit to maintain stability.

How do the 5 in thermoplastic rubber casters affect steering and floor protection?

Two swivel and two rigid 5 in thermoplastic rubber wheels give tight turning in aisles and roll quietly over concrete or grass without marking indoor floors.
