RUCKUS WIRELESS

RUCKUS WIRELESS E1MG-LX-A SFP module 1000Base-LX single-mode

SKU CH-D2JZ-S969K MPN E1MG-LX-A

Single-mode SFP module with LC connector for 1000Base-LX Gigabit Ethernet links

  • Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for high-speed data networking
  • Single-mode fiber support for long-distance optical links
  • LC connector interface ensures reliable optical connections
  • TAA compliant for government and regulated deployments
  • Compact SFP form factor fits standard network equipment slots

Single-mode SFP module

The Ruckus Wireless E1MG-LX-A is a 1000Base-LX SFP transceiver built for single-mode fibre links. It plugs into compatible switches, routers or firewalls to extend a Gigabit Ethernet connection over long-haul optical cable.

LC connector and TAA compliance

The module ships with a single LC duplex interface ready for standard patch cables. TAA compliance means the unit meets U.S. federal procurement requirements for government and contractor networks.

Distance headroom for campus links

Single-mode fibre gives this optic the reach to span campus or metro distances far beyond copper limits. It cannot support multi-mode cabling, so installers must match the fibre type to avoid link failures.

Questions about this item

Will the LC connector on this E1MG-LX-A module need periodic cleaning or replacement?

The LC connector on the E1MG-LX-A should be inspected and cleaned with a fibre-optic cleaning kit whenever links are installed or re-seated; the transceiver itself has no user-serviceable parts and does not require scheduled replacement.

What distance limit applies to the 1000Base-LX link on single-mode fibre?

The 1000Base-LX interface on this module supports up to 10 km over standard single-mode fibre with an LC duplex connection.

How much heat does the E1MG-LX-A generate during continuous operation?

The E1MG-LX-A is a low-power SFP transceiver typically drawing under 1 W, so heat output is minimal and it operates silently with no fan in standard network switches.
