Ruth's sister 4 Port USB 3.0 PCIe Expansion Card

4-Port USB 3.0 PCIe Expansion Card

This card adds four USB 3.0 ports to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It suits owners of older motherboards or compact boards that lack enough native high-speed ports for peripherals. Each port supports the 3.0 standard for faster transfers than USB 2.0. The low-profile bracket fits standard and slim chassis.

Upgrades from USB 2.0 headers or limited rear I/O

The jump is worth it when external drives, cameras or audio interfaces bottleneck on slower ports. It does not suit builders who need internal headers for front-panel USB 3.0 connectors, as this card provides rear-facing ports only. Systems without a free PCIe x1 slot cannot use this adapter.
