SKU CH-EXR7-V2BAP

A USB-C PD trigger module that negotiates up to 20 V at 5 A from a PD adapter and outputs DC power for laptops or other devices

  • Triggers up to 100W fast charging from PD adapters
  • Program-free hardware trigger ensures stable voltage selection
  • Supports 3V to 20V output range for versatile device power
  • Compact 3×1.5×0.4cm module fits tight project spaces
  • Includes single converter module ready for DC cable integration

USB-C PD 2.0/3.0 to DC converter module

This module converts a USB-C Power Delivery 2.0 or 3.0 source into a configurable DC output. It is designed for engineers and hobbyists who need to power laptops or custom projects from a PD adapter or power bank. The board implements a hardware-only trigger so no firmware programming is required.

Check your PD source voltage steps before ordering

The module can only request a voltage that the connected PD adapter actually advertises. If the adapter offers 5, 9 and 20 V, selecting 15 V will cause the board to settle at 9 V instead. Verify that your charger supports the exact voltage your device needs, and confirm the device draws no more than 5 A at that voltage.

Compact blue PCB with solderable DC output

The board measures 3 by 1.5 by .4 cm and uses electronic-grade materials in a blue finish. A DC cable must be soldered to the pads and insulated with heat-shrink tubing for a permanent installation. The package contains only the module itself; no cables or adapters are included.

Questions about this item

Does the module come with a DC cable or do I need to supply and solder my own?

Only the module is included; you must provide and solder a DC cable yourself.

The spec says up to 20 V — how do I know which voltage will actually trigger?

The module requests the highest supported voltage that is less than or equal to your setting; if you set 15 V on a 5/9/20 V adapter it will negotiate 9 V.

What does the 100 W rating mean when I connect this to my laptop?

It is the maximum power the module can pass when the PD source negotiates up to 20 V at 5 A; actual power depends on the adapter and cable you use.
