USB-C to Surface Connect charging cable

This cable connects a USB-C Power Delivery source to the proprietary Surface Connect port on Microsoft Surface Pro 3, 4, 5, 6 and Go devices. It is designed for users who want to charge compatible Surface hardware from a USB-C PD charger instead of the original power supply. The cable carries power only and does not support data transfer between devices.

PD voltage and power requirements

The USB-C charger must provide a 15V output; 12V or other voltages will not work. A minimum of 29W is required for Surface Go, while Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models need at least 36W, with 45W or 60W recommended for reliable operation. MacBook USB-C power adapters do not supply 15V and are therefore incompatible with this cable.
