What this extender does

The Ruth's sister Wireless Range Extender 300Mbps Black 50M expands the reach of an existing Wi‑Fi network using 802.11n/b/g operation. It delivers wireless data rates up to 300m and covers an unobstructed distance of 50 metres.

Who this suits and who it does not

Buyers who need a simple way to fill a coverage gap in a home or small office will find it fits the requirement. Users who need more bandwidth, dual‑band operation or advanced mesh features should look at something else.

The specification that decides fit

The single figure that determines suitability is the 300m wireless data rate combined with the 50 metre unobstructed coverage claim. If your layout or speed demand exceeds those limits, this unit will not meet the need.

Questions about this item

Does the 7cm × 8cm × 5.4cm unit need a horizontal surface or can it plug directly into a wall socket?

The extender measures 7cm × 8cm × 5.4cm and weighs 200g; it is designed to plug directly into a standard US mains socket without a separate power brick.

Which button do I press first — WPS on the router or the reset hole on the extender — and how long do I hold it?

Press the WPS button on your router, then within two minutes press the WPS button on the extender; holding the reset hole instead will factory-reset the device.

When should I replace the extender if the 50m unobstructed coverage starts dropping below 300Mbps throughput?

The hardware has no user-serviceable parts; replace the unit when firmware updates no longer restore the rated 300Mbps link over the 50m unobstructed range.
