Mini Windjammer for DPA 4080 Lavalier

The Rycote Mini Windjammer is a furry wind shield built for the DPA 4080 lavalier microphone. It delivers high-level protection against wind noise when recording outdoors. The cover also reduces handling sounds and clothing rustle during interviews or field work. It is designed for microphones worn on the outside of clothing.

Compatibility and fit check

Verify that your lavalier is the DPA 4080 model before ordering. The windjammer is sized specifically for that microphone capsule. Confirm the mounting style matches an externally worn lavalier setup. No other microphone models are supported by this specific windshield.

Outdoor recorders and interview crews

This windjammer suits videographers, broadcasters and field recordists who capture speech in open-air conditions. It is not intended for studio-only users who never face wind. Buyers needing wind protection for larger diaphragm microphones or different lavalier models should look at other Rycote windshield ranges.
