Outdoor rug for beach and park

The Safavieh FH-01 is a square nylon rug sized 79 by 83 inches and coloured green. It weighs 0.65 pounds and folds into a 5.1 by 7.5 inch carry bag. The mat is waterproof, sandproof, oilproof and quick drying for outdoor leisure.

Limits of the nylon fabric

The material resists water and sand but is not insulated against cold ground or heavy moisture. Machine washing is allowed without bleach or softener to preserve the waterproof layer. The rug suits one to three adults lying down.

Build and daily use

Corner pockets hold sand or stones while four ABS anchor stakes and straps secure the rug in wind. A carabiner clips the packed bag to a backpack or stroller. The lightweight nylon shakes clean and stores in seconds.

Questions about this item

What size should I pick for a group of four adults?

The 79" x 83" blanket fits 1 to 3 adults; the 120" x 108" version accommodates up to 8 adults.

How does the 0.65 lb weight feel when packed for a hike?

At 0.65 pounds it folds into a 5.1" x 7.5" carry bag that slips into a backpack or pocket without adding noticeable bulk.

What does the waterproof nylon layer actually stop in wet grass or light rain?

The waterproof nylon blocks ground moisture and repels light rain; sand and debris shake off instantly, and the four corner pockets plus included ABS stakes keep the blanket anchored in wind.
