Bathroom mat for wet floors

The Safavieh Gorilla Grip bath mat measures 24 by 17 inches and uses 100 percent polyester chenille pile almost one inch thick. It targets anyone who wants a soft, absorbent surface beside a shower, tub or sink.

Rubber backing limits on damp surfaces

The TP rubber backing is tested for repeated machine washing but the manufacturer warns that water trapped underneath can make the mat slip. It must be placed on a clean, dry floor and checked with one foot before each use.

Simple placement with a safety check

Lay the mat flat, smooth the corners and edges, then test grip with one foot. The main issue is skipping the dry-floor rule or leaving folded edges, which reduces the non-slip performance.

Questions about this item

Which size should I pick for a standard bathroom floor?

The rug measures 24 inches by 17 inches, a runner shape that fits neatly in front of a tub or vanity without overwhelming smaller bathrooms.

How thick is the chenille pile once the rug is on the floor?

The pile is almost one inch thick, giving a plush, cushioned feel that soothes feet and insulates against cold tile.

What does the TP rubber backing do compared with PVC or hot-glue backings?

Third-party testing confirms the TP rubber backing withstands repeated machine washing and drying without breaking down, keeping the rug securely in place.
