Classroom Stool with Fidget Bar

The Safco AlphaBetter 1205BL is an adjustable-height stool built for classroom and training environments. Its wide-angle base is designed to be virtually tip-resistant during active use. A patented Swinging Pendulum Footrest Bar lets students fidget while seated. The stool ships new in a black finish.

Sustained Use Stability

The wide-angle base maintains balance throughout the day even when users shift weight frequently. Height adjusts in 1 1/4" increments so the stool stays at the chosen level without pneumatic drift. Metal swivel glides allow smooth repositioning on carpet or hard floors without degrading. The frame supports up to 250 lb for continuous daily seating.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that the 1 1/4" increment range matches the desk or table heights in your space. Confirm the 250 lb capacity suits every intended user. Ensure the floor surface works with metal swivel glides for easy movement. Note that the stool has no arms and a fixed back height.

Questions about this item

How does the AlphaBetter 1205BL stool handle daily movement across carpeted and smooth floors?

Metal swivel glides let the stool slide easily on both carpeted and smooth surfaces, making classroom reconfiguration quick and quiet.

What must the room already provide for the 1205BL to function as intended?

The stool is freestanding; it requires only a level floor and enough clearance for the swinging pendulum footrest bar to move without obstruction.

Will the 250 lb capacity and tip-resistant base of the 1205BL stool stay stable when paired with older fixed-height desks?

Yes, the wide-angle base is virtually tip-resistant and supports up to 250 lb, so it remains steady alongside traditional desks of varying heights.
