Active seating chair

The Safco Zenergy Ball Chair model 4750BL combines a 17.5 inch anti-burst exercise ball with a four-leg silver powder-coated base and stationary glides. A mesh cover and black nylon seat surface complete the unit. The chair ships with an inflation pump and is sold as a single piece. It is intended for office tasks, reception areas, meeting rooms, classrooms or home workspaces where dynamic movement is desired.

Replaces static desk chairs

This chair replaces a conventional fixed-height office chair when the goal is to introduce continual micro-movement and core engagement while seated. The jump is worth it for users who want an active posture option that still offers the stability of legs and glides rather than a free-rolling ball. It is not suited for buyers who need adjustable lumbar support, armrests, casters for mobility, or a seat height that remains constant under load.

Stability and height limits

The four stationary glides limit lateral mobility compared with castered chairs and keep the chair in a fixed position on the floor. Fully inflated seat height is 23 inches but compresses when occupied, so exact working height varies with the user. The 17.5 inch ball diameter defines the seat width and depth, which may not accommodate every body type. No tilt, recline or height-adjustment mechanism is provided.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 22-inch diameter chair require?

The chair measures 22 inches in diameter and 23 inches high, so allow at least a 22-inch circle of clear floor space plus room to swivel.

Which step is often missed when setting up the anti-burst ball and pump?

Inflate the 17.5-inch ball fully, seat it inside the mesh cover, then attach the four powder-coated legs before use.

When should the 17.5-inch anti-burst ball be replaced?

Replace the ball if it no longer holds firm pressure, shows surface cracks, or the mesh cover becomes torn or stretched.
