Three-column 18-box layout

The Safco Products 5527GR is a freestanding steel locker with three columns and six tiers, providing eighteen individual compartments for personal storage. It is built for workplaces that need secure, ventilated storage for bags, briefcases, shoes and other daily items.

Replaces open shelving or single-tier units

This model upgrades from open racks or single-door cabinets by adding recessed padlock hasps and perforated doors that allow airflow while keeping contents private. The jump is worth it when a facility needs to secure many users' belongings in a compact footprint without running power or data to the unit.

Fits against a wall or ganged in rows

The all-steel unibody ships fully assembled and sits on a 6-inch raised base, so it can be placed directly on the floor without extra framing. Units can stand alone or be bolted side by side to create a continuous bank, freeing up floor space that separate cabinets would waste.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 36x18 locker occupy?

The unit measures 36 inches wide by 18 inches deep, so it needs a footprint of 4.5 square feet plus clearance for the door swing.

What is the step people miss when bolting multiple 5527GR units together?

After positioning the lockers side by side, you must use the factory-drilled ganging holes to fasten the frames together before loading any compartments.

Which parts of the 18-compartment locker need periodic attention?

Lubricate the door hinges and latch bolts annually, and inspect the ventilation perforations for dust buildup that could restrict airflow.
