Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Offices needing high-density, letter-size sorting with room to reconfigure shelf heights will find the 36 compartments practical. Buyers who want fewer sections, a smaller footprint or compartments sized for legal or oversized documents should look elsewhere.

Steel back and hardboard shelves

A solid fiberboard back and 15 lb-capacity hardboard shelves give each compartment rigidity for daily use. The steel-reinforced construction allows safe stacking up to three units high.

Questions about this item

Do the adjustable shelves need periodic tightening or replacement under normal office use?

The hardboard shelves are fixed once set in the 2.50" increment slots and carry a 15 lb. capacity each; no routine tightening or shelf replacement is required.

What is the first limit reached when the 36 compartments are fully loaded day after day?

Each shelf maxes out at 15 lb., so total weight capacity is the first constraint under sustained full loading.

Does the unit generate any noise or heat when left assembled continuously?

It is a passive wood and laminate organizer with no moving parts, fans or electronics, so it produces no noise or heat during continuous use.
