Canmeleon 38-Gallon Square Receptacle

The Safco 9473NC Canmeleon is a heavy-duty ash and trash receptacle designed for outdoor facility maintenance. Its square polyethylene body with stone aggregate finish and UV protectant resists weathering in public spaces. A stainless steel ash top and included lid complete the unit for combined waste collection.

Suited for high-traffic outdoor areas needing

This receptacle serves building entrances, parks and smoking zones where a single 38-gallon unit must handle both litter and cigarette waste. The free-standing design requires no permanent installation. Sites needing separate recycling streams, larger capacities or wall-mounted fixtures should consider other configurations.

38-gallon capacity with integrated ash top

The 38-gallon volume determines how often the container needs emptying in busy locations. The stainless steel ash top is built into the lid, so no accessory is required for cigarette disposal. Dimensions of 39.3 inches high by 18.3 inches square set the footprint for placement planning.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the receptacle is stable and the ash top is secure after placing it outdoors?

Position the unit on a level surface; the 39.3" height and 18.3" square footprint give a low centre of gravity, and the integrated ash top sits flush with the polyethylene body so no separate fastening is required.

Does the 38 gal Canmeleon ship with a liner or mounting hardware, or must I buy those separately?

The receptacle includes the black polyethylene body, stainless steel ash top and UV-protectant finish; no rigid liner or anchor kit is supplied, so purchase a 38 gal liner and any surface-mount brackets separately if needed.

The series lists only the 38 gal square model in black — how do I choose the right version for my site?

Select the 9473NC when you need a 38 gal capacity, 18.3" square footprint and 39.3" overall height with an integrated ash top; other capacities or round shapes are different model numbers not covered by this listing.
